Consulate General Erbil Hosts Dohuk Civil Society Partner Lunch

The U.S. Consulate General Erbil hosted a lunch for civil society and governmental partners in Dohuk on June 25th, 2012.  The lunch provided an opportunity for the Consulate General to thank their partners in Dohuk, and to discuss future avenues of cooperation.  Kerem Bilge, head of the Political/Economic Section of the Consulate General, noted that, “We have worked together to build educational and cultural partnerships, to support national and religious minorities, to bring more students to the United States, and to advance women’s rights. “  Dr. Fadhil Omer, the Chairman of the Dohuk Provincial Council, thanked the Consulate General for their work in Dohuk, calling for future, long-term collaboration.

The United States Consulate General works to enhance the partnership and close ties between the people of Iraq and the United States of America.
